Peter Evans
Peter Evans studied Applied Chemistry at RMIT before running away to the circus, spending the next forty years in the technical side of the theatrical arts.
He has been successively a lighting engineer, a sound engineer and a production manager.
At age 60 he decided on a change of career and spent a decade in the Steam Operations Department at Sovereign Hill.
He has written three books on environmental history. His fourth is ‘Sunbury: Australia’s Greatest Rock Festival’.
In retirement Peter publishes widely on forest, mining and industrial history, with his latest book (in press) a forest history of the Great Dividing Range between Healesville and Woods Point.
