​Wangaratta is located on the Hume highway, 2 ½ hours North of Melbourne, 6 ½ hours South of Sydney. Albury airport, is a 40 minute drive South to Wangaratta, and receives flights from major Australian centres, including 4 daily from Sydney and Melbourne. The city hosts many events from conventions to the annual International Jazz Festival. It presents ample visitor amenities and civic facilities, including a performing arts centre, in an attractive rural landscape.

The Glenrowan Region - just 15mins drive from Wanagaratta

​Glenrowan is famous as the site of Ned Kelly’s last stand. A six-metre-high statue of Ned, in his full metal armour, guards the village. Those wishing to learn the full story of the Kelly gang can visit the Ned Kelly museum & homestead.

The Booth family have been making red, white and fortified wines for four generations dating back to 1904. Their estate vines include Shiraz, Trebbiano, Nero d'Avola & Alicante Bouchet. There are full flavoured red wines such as Shiraz, Durif and Cabernet, along with luscious Muscat, Ports, refreshing whites and Rose.

​A new addition to their culinary repertoire, is a range of hand crafted, preservative-free beers. These are brewed on site using premium malted barley, hopes and pure Warby Range water. James Booth, who is also the wine maker, is having great success producing under the name of Black Dog Brewery.
