Guillaume Potard - Lofty Consulting
Guillaume obtained a PhD from the University of Wollongong. Originally from an electrical and telecom engineering background, Guillaume has had a long-term passion for audio, music, technology and since more recently, machine learning and AI.
With 15 years of professional experience, Guillaume worked as a senior digital signal processing (DSP) engineer at Dolby in Sydney and founded Lofty Consulting in 2011. Lofty helps other businesses grow their technology in the areas of DSP, audio and speech processing, algorithm research, acoustics and machine learning.
Some of Lofty's achievements include developing algorithms for the bionic ear, being involved with Dolby Atmos and developing algorithms and solutions for complex medical devices in Australia & the US.
Guillaume believes that extending traditional audio digital signal processing with machine learning techniques is already enabling new breakthroughs in the way machines understand, analyse and produce speech and audio.
