ACETA Management Update – September 2025
ACETA’s participation at Integrate last month was extremely well received, beneficial in every respect, and an ideal forum to catch up with members and also meet with potential new constituents. At the events conclusion we had a tally of 17 companies interested in becoming members, with four now already onboard. We are currently in discussion and/or awaiting membership applications from the remainder, whilst we receive new inquiries. The interest in, and support for ACETA, is demonstrably elevated, an endorsement of our associations culture, vision and growing importance, whilst providing the opportunity to expand ACETA’s influence, and resource increased constituent advantages and benefits moving forward.
Integrate also enabled the opportunity to meet face to face with several allied industry associations, which could provide the basis for a new era of mutually beneficial collaborations across related sectors. Whilst industry associations maintain their own unique purpose, there will always be areas of common ground, and in an uncertain and conflicted world, the notion of unity takes on a compelling new meaning.
On the second day of Integrate ACETA hosted an open house networking event attended by almost 40 individuals representing a significant number of industry organizations. Good food, bevies and company, made it a most convivial occasion, and thanks go to the organizers, guests, our generous sponsors and the caterers who made it all possible. The event proved an ideal format to enable the industry to gather in a social environment, catch up with old acquaintances, make new ones, exchange ideas, and celebrate the industry that sustains us.
Next month (October) the ACETA board will journey to Adelaide for a board of management meeting. Inspired by the success and benefits of the Integrate open house networking event, we determined to use the opportunity to host a similar occasion in Adelaide to acknowledge and celebrate the South Australian sector of our industry, planning is currently underway. Whenever opportunity and resources permit, ACETA will consider hosting such developmental and celebratory industry gatherings throughout Australia.
Considering the amount of fake news, misleading information and the sheer mass of content competing for space on social media and other virtual forums, the bona fide industry media and trade show formats have become far more important than ever before, because they are real, and by their very nature, are responsible, accountable and subject to scrutiny. Therefore, it is important to note, the long established and most prominent industry trade shows and media, Integrate, ENTECH, CX and Alchemedia support and are committed associate members of ACETA.
Until next month
