Authenticity Is Not a Lost Principle
THE MEMBERS’ CIRCLE

This important publication will be e-mailed to the bona-fide membership and is not for general distribution. The Audio Test is now available free of charge to members who wish to establish the aptitude of a job applicant by requesting they undertake this secure on-line test. This and all other pending sector tests are developed in-house, by suitably credentialled individuals, a by the industry for the industry initiative in countering the skills shortage. Financial benefits and access information pertaining to these specific initiatives will be delivered in this first edition of ‘The Members’ Circle’.
By virtue of the population growth and stretched infrastructure in several of our capital cities, re-location is once again in the news, particularly in Victoria. Entertainment Technology Industry re-location has been on the table at ACETA for some time and will remain so driven by member consensus, however forward thinking and commonsense dictate it will only be a matter of time before we need to study potential and options more closely, if we want our industry to remain competitive and prosper. Initially it was considered of particular interest to the manufacturing sector, but expressions of interest have been received from distributors, researchers and developers, those involved in the staging of major entertainment events (planning and rehearsal of tours), and even production (recording) studios. There are many factors requiring consideration, all of which polarize around a location that meets the needs of the industry at its broadest. In a preliminary sense, viability resides somewhere along the eastern seaboard north of Melbourne and south of Brisbane, however there are also advantages to be considered in South Australia. Finding an administration that is committed to partnership, embraces our industry and is able to facilitate such a major initiative will no doubt be a defining factor. If you want to register interest or have any input on the matter please make your thoughts known to email@example.com or myself.
Until next month
