ACETA Management Update – May 2026
Today, responsible and reliable engagement is undermined by compromised inter-personal communication, but also an overabundance of fake news and on-line misrepresentation, including social media, that can prey on human vulnerability and isolation. Therefore, ‘real and accountable’ connection is now a priceless commodity.
For an industry aspiring to high standards of individual and corporate performance including service, support, understanding and overall integrity, there are two major forums that will assist real connection to all we need to engage with, who by their very nature are compliant and accountable. I am referring to our bona fide industry trade shows and media.
The ENTECH 2026 Roadshow has just completed its tour of Australia realising an increase of 27% unique attendees across 5 cities, taking the industry directly to as many interested parties as is physically possible, and by all reports, a happy exhibitor cohort outcome. In September 2026 Integrate will again take place at the Sydney ICC and current indicators suggest a near fully booked exhibitor space, substantial early attendee registrations, and a broadening sector involvement beyond AV Integration. Our industry is now well served with an annual static and mobile trade presentation; both include significant education programs and opportunities that increasingly meet the needs of the entertainment technology industry at its broadest.
Owned and operated by entertainment technology industry veterans, Alchemedia (with their mastheads AudioTechnology, AV.Technology and Venue) and CX Magazine continue to publish in physical and/or on-line format. Alchemedia and CX have earned their bona fides, having been reliable and permanent presences in our industry for a number of decades, and as is the case with many industry practitioners have successfully weathered challenges and the winds of change. The connection offered by the bona fide media is infinitely different, more potent and reliable than social media and is not going away any time soon, because it is trusted and it works in delivering information, including your message.
By their very nature, ENTECH, Integrate, Alchemedia and CX, are compliant and accountable in all relevant Australian law including corporate, and consumer. In addition, all four fully support the industry by virtue of their associate membership in ACETA, therefore please remember them in your advertising and marketing budgets when seeking real connection.
All the best
