ACETA MANAGEMENT UPDATE – MAY 2025

The Birth of the ACETA Members Circle (AMC©)

Aside from the multinational’s, Australian entertainment technology industry participants, with few exceptions, rarely, if ever engage in corporate development education. The reasons are many and varied, but primarily relate to affordability, as individual and corporate mentoring/training are an expensive exercise. However, given the complexity of the contemporary business landscape, all participants need to be better equipped individually and corporately, and we hope to help break down this barrier to developmental progress with the introduction of ‘The ACETA Member Circle (AMC©)’.

In the planning stage for some time, the AMC© has been established as a forum to close the education gap and deliver individual and corporate knowledge as an additional and complimentary benefit to members and associate members. To be delivered by personal e-mail on a monthly basis, each edition will be presented in a to-the-point manner, often confronting, aimed at stimulating thought and motivating action. To ensure maximum attention in the early stages, the AMC© will be presented in an easy to read and engaging 500-word document, however, it’s potential may see it evolve into a much more diverse platform. A dedicated and effective industry education forum should be embraced by all committed participants particularly in its formative phase, and we seek your patience and support. The inaugural edition of the AMC© is being delivered to members and associate members this week.

The ACETA Marketing Plan
In April the ACETA board of management approved the new ACETA marketing plan, that will be refined and tasks allocated at the June 2025 board meeting. Its purpose is to create greater awareness of ACETA, promote what the peak body does in, and for industry, attract members and increase income/reduce expenses via sponsorships and advertising.

It has been agreed that ACETA will be present at both Integrate 2025 and ENTECH 2026. The June board meeting will discuss the viability of conducting networking and consultations events where possible, along with Archive of Excellence© presentations throughout the year. Monthly communication to the broader industry will continue in an enhanced form, and the new ACETA Members Circle (AMC©) will be launched this month. ACETA will increase its presence in the relevant industry magazines, and a plan has been agreed for the curation of a significant social media presence. A greater focus will be given to an established and major resource namely the website, with the major aim of increasing its industry resource content

Board of Management News
We have a recently re-formatted board of management, including several new and relatively new members joining the board veterans, giving ACETA a diverse and increased skill set and energy. The board is developing into a close-knit team with a unified sense of purpose, exemplified in the fact we enjoy being and working together. From a cultural perspective the board clearly embraces the adage All Participants Shall Feel Safe and Valued.

Kind regards
Julie Hinton
