Well, here we are, rapidly reaching that time of year to take a break, celebrate, acknowledge, wind down and enjoy the company of family and friends. There will be many who work over the festive season, but for some it magnifies their isolation, loneliness and hardship. Whilst we, quite rightly, enjoy and give thanks for our comforts, let’s spare a thought for those less fortunate and particularly individuals, families and communities impacted and traumatised by extreme and damaging behaviour.
Closer to home, our industry experienced increased trading complexity together with the ever-present common challenges in 2025, that require the grit our entertainment technology is renowned for. Throughout the year we have canvassed these obstacles addressing some in our programs, and will continue to do so when appropriate and resources permit. As we approach a new year it might be worth noting, work should be fun and in difficult times it is all too easy to neglect this empowering life force. Enjoyment is not only uplifting, but good for individual mental health, and a positive corporate culture, maybe there is a new year resolution in there somewhere?
ACETA is now in the process of sending out membership renewals, and the board of management recommended to the 2025 AGM and it was agreed, to once again hold the annual subscription fees for 2026, but will need to increase them in 2027. ACETA is planning for membership growth in the new year, whilst introducing new initiatives in the 1st and 2nd quarter. We are also looking to upgrade existing infrastructure and Intellectual Property including the web site and publications.
Aside from the official public holidays ACETA will be operational over the festive season, therefore if in need you know where to find us.
All that remains to be said for now, is thanks to all those who take the time to read our monthly update, it is pleasing to note the unusually high download and very low unsubscribe rates. We are committed to maintaining and improving our communication streams and feedback is most welcome at any time.
