Spreading the word about careers in the commercial and entertainment technology world
The distribution of the guide will take place on Thursday August 27th as part of a co-ordinated release by the Department of Education in Canberra, though our access to the program came via the Victorian Department of Education and Training.
The distribution of ACETA's materials will take place alongside ‘other specialist, technical and high value’ industry sectors that ‘do not have a high profile amongst careers teachers.’ We understand there are around 25 industry groups similar to ours taking up this opportunity. A number of these groups are operating in the creative industries but others are involved in health and the environment.
The initiative is designed to increase the awareness of career options amongst career teachers beyond the usual accounting, law, medicine, business advice they give out to students.
